One Bad Man Grenache Noir '22

Named for Tommaso, Angelo's badass Italian bestie who taught him how to shake a mean martini and helped make the first three vintages of this juicy, Spanish-style Grenache.

Fruit from an organic ferricrete vineyard in Bot River was destemmed and layered with the stems in open fermenters for spontaneous fermentation with light pumpovers. Once the fermentation had naturally ceased, Angelo pressed the juice and let it settle overnight before transferring it to old oak for maturation over 11 months.

Tragically, the ethereal 2022 vintage was the second last one that Angelo made as the vineyard was unceremoniously ripped out in 2024. Expect a Grenache that you'll never forget—bright but soft, acidic yet balanced, both fruit- and floral-forward, and entirely wonderful.
