After swearing he'd never make a Sauvvy B, Angelo van Dyk tasted eclectic Austrian ones and then learnt to never say never from an organic farm in Tulbagh.
For Just Kidding, Angelo keeps the cellar tinkering to a minimum—organic grapes were destemmed and pressed. The juice was then left to settle overnight in tank and racked off the gross lees into old oak barrels for wild fermentation and 10 months maturation.Â
Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this electric Sauvignon Blanc offers jolts of tropical fruit freshness and rich honeydew melon texture. It's snappy and sassy and anything but basic.
