At 19 years old Gauteng-born Jolette swapped the big smoke for Stellies, and then for the world. She returned to South Africa to start a party we hope never ends with wines full of energy, anticipation, and good vibes.Â
I'm Your Huckleberry was part of her maiden release of The Vineyard Party and symbolises her acceptance of an invitation from destiny and SĂ©millon. For the 2023 vintage, Botriver grapes were hand-harvest at sunrise and left overnight in a cold room. Then placed in open fermenters (50% as wholebunch) for an 18 day skin-maceration followed by gentle pressing into neutral French oak for aging over 10 months. Â
Jolette’s tender winemaking and a sentiment for Sémillon make a skin-contact wine that’s effortless, evocative, and tastes like juicy nectarines and nutmeg.
